Prayer 08/03/2025

Making the time and space for prayer opens up a connection to a power greater than human kind. When I needed to change, nothing and nobody had the solution or answers. When I wanted others to change, my powers fell short there as well.

Praying for something or someone to come along and help me never worked out, but I found a direct connection with God when I got quiet and opened my heart to say, “God, I am powerless over my problems, and the problems in the world around me. I have tried everything humanly possible that I could conjure, and I am far worse off than I can handle. I humbly ask to surrender my disturbances, and troubles with others, so your will may guide me to peace. Thank you for listening, and I will let your power take the lead. Your love kept me safe and warm in my darkest moments, so I trust that will never change. With love and humility, I seek your wisdom and strength. This I pray for today, and all days. Amen.”

From that moment on, everything has changed within, and the external world has lost its grip on my heart.
